The Indigenous Strategy Unit has implemented an application process that ensures cultural safe campuses across our communities.
This application has been developed to support UOW staff with the use of language, commissioning artwork and seeking advice regarding cultural facilitation.

The University is committed to maximising benefit and minimising risk and adverse impact to Aboriginal communities and cultures by engaging in respectful and culturally appropriate relationships. The University recognises that meaningful engagement with Aboriginal communities, knowledges’ and cultural practices is of benefit to all areas of its business. This comes with a corresponding responsibility to ensure that engagement is appropriate, respectful, and supports the aspirations and cultural integrity of the communities and Country on which our campuses are based.
