Application requirements
As part of your application for the Ramsay Scholarship for the Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation, please submit the following:
• A one-page CV that demonstrates how you meet the key attributes of a Ramsay Scholar. Further information about these attributes can be found at the following link here
• A short essay (700-800 words) responding to the following question: “Is it true that every topic should be up for discussion; that no proposition should be left unexamined?”
We are interested in your own view on this question and the reasoning behind it. You are not required to reference external sources, although you may do so if you wish.
If you are shortlisted for an interview, your essay and the thinking that informed it will form part of the discussion.

1. Privacy

You acknowledge that UOW will provide your application to the scholarship sponsor and to any third party representatives on the scholarship selection panel. You acknowledge that the scholarship sponsor may retain your information and may subsequently use that information to contact you directly for any potential employment opportunities.
You further acknowledge that UOW deals with regulatory bodies and also includes a number of separate entities, any of which may be granted all or part of this information in processing this application.
